Hi 👋🏻 I’m Stacey. I’ve been a movement c Hi 👋🏻 I’m Stacey. I’ve been a movement coach for almost 13 years. It’s taken me a lot of time and effort - but I’m slowly and intentionally coaxing movement out of the desperate grasps of toxic diet culture and putting adaptive, compassionate movement into the hands of the people who have been most overlooked by the fitness industrial complex. I’m trying to create safe(er) spaces for people who are fat, non-binary, movement averse, neurodivergent, anxious, chronically ill, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC. In these 13 years I’ve never stopped learning, researching, and pushing myself to grow. As I learned - I realized how much this industry, the very industry I made a career in, SUCKS. It uses fear to motivate. It uses shame to push sales. It sees no issue with encouraging disordered eating. It has created one arbitrary and unattainable standard for “fitness” after another - all of which are ridiculous, outdated, misogynistic, and racist. There came a point where I decided I wanted no part - and I would have quit, except for that when separated from the toxic crap - movement can be joyful, through a trauma-informed lens - it can be healing, movement isn’t all-or-nothing, it doesn’t have to look or feel any particular way to make “sense” or to bring personal benefit. I wholeheartedly believe that we have far more to GAIN from movement than we will ever have to lose. Strength, stability, flexibility, balance, power, mobility, endurance. It supports our brains, mental health, cardiovascular system, sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. Movement helps us show up in our lives in the way we want to; hiking with friends, traveling solo, learning new sports, lifting grandkids. I’ve helped amazing humans strengthen their bodies for the marathon of pregnancy, the trauma and healing from surgery, and for feeling stronger in their everyday routines. It is my honor and my pleasure to have the opportunity to be of support to you. YOU are my reason - not a ridiculous industry. Supporting you in living life on your own terms is exactly what I’m here for. It’s nice to meet you. I’d love to help you gain all the things that would benefit you most.

What would life be like if you were kinder to your What would life be like if you were kinder to yourself? More compassionate?

One of the most heartbreaking thing I see in my work is how people beat themselves up. They double down on “all or nothing” thinking - setting themselves up for failure with unsustainable parameters, goals, and rules.

What would it be like to have someone affirm your self-compassion? Someone to validate your efforts, even when they feel small? What would it be like to feel unconditional support and love from someone?

Guess what? YOU can be that “someone”. You have it within you to be all of these things. I believe in you and I believe you deserve the best of you.
